Miss Lena Bean loves dancing and she loves painting. So over the summer we combined the two loves together to make these dreamy Window Ballerinas.
I cut out the body silhouettes and used coffee filters to make the snowflake style tutus.
(I did those two parts while Lena was sleeping so she could help with the colorful, messy, and scissors-free part when she woke up. ;)
We used diluted watercolors and pipettes (yeah, really, that's what they're called) to do the painting.
Lena absolutely loved it!! Until I told her it was time to clean up...
(I'm such an evil mom. I have about 30 pictures of her crying like this and they make me laugh so much! They were taken in a matter of seconds and she really was completely fine. And quite happy as soon as I offered a bubble bath.)
Letting the tutus dry before putting them on their ballerinas.
A little piece of tape to hold the tutus in place and voila!
Window Ballerinas!
They have faded a little over time, but are still so pretty when the light is shining on them.
These little dancers make our windows happy and bright. :)
These are fantastic! Might have to do them with Violet.
