Adventures in Crafting: A Thanksgiving Tribe of Acorn People

Making Thanksgiving Dinner place cards for family and guests is something I look forward to every year. Last year I didn't do anything because Lena was only a month old and it was a very small, quiet affair. But this year, November came and I was all kinds of ready!

ACORN PEOPLE
I got the idea from this months Martha Stewart Living Magazine.

I used what I had and came up with this somewhat creepy, very hilarious, Acorn tribe of my family. I don't think I am going to add name tags, just make people find their acorn-selves and add to the giggles a little.

I used Sculpey to shape the heads, baked them, and then glued them to the acorns using a hot glue gun. Drew on faces, glued on hair, and tied string around their necks to hide the glue and add a little color. On some I drew, cut out, and glues on little flowers, moons, and stars.

They were pretty easy and very fun to make. I would make more for anyone who wanted some. I love any excuse to Holiday craft!
