I love our home. We have big bright windows and a lovely teal bath tub. And it has felt like a home since the moment we moved in about a year ago. But we do not have a yard. It's not only sad for me, for Lena, but our poor dog, Sweet Potato. How she would love a yard of her own to play in! Thankfully, Lena's Nonni and Papa live about five minutes away. In the country, with rose bushes, fruit trees, animals, and the greenest grass ever. This time of year we collect leaves and look for mushrooms. We explored there this morning while the sunlight made everything look colorful and lively.
It's a little bit of heaven for us. Always welcomed with smiles, barks, and open hearts. Talks of love and parenting while walking (and sometimes rolling) down this sweet dirt road. Forever grateful for this place, this family.
Such a sweet post Gina. I have been so grateful that you added to your family, and therefore mine, with such a loving, creative, giving and happy family - Skyler, Wayne, Laura, all Skyler's wonderful siblings, their spouses and children! I loved the pictures of Lena with the sculpture couple..touched my heart to see her connecting with something of Grandma MHF.
