A couple of weekends ago we took the Ferry across the bay to see my sister in San Francisco. The Golden Gate Bridge was closed but it was my Mom last weekend in California so we wanted to be sure and see Lia one last time before she left. Taking the Ferry turned out to be such a sweet adventure. Lena loved every chilly, foggy moment.
We explored the Ferry Building and Market and walked the Piers to the Aquarium.
As we crossed the bay we watched seagulls above and waited for San Francisco to appear from behind its blanket of fog. Once we were off the boat we explored the Market and the Piers. We picked out colorful mushrooms, ate salami and olives, and chased pigeons as the sun came out.
The SF Aquarium is small but sweet.
Lots of beautiful and colorful fish, sea stars, jellies, and sea anemones. Sea Otters swimming in circles and baby Manta Rays swimming close enough for your fingers to touch the tips of their wings.
We hugged our Lia goodbye and took the Ferry home again. Such a magical way to travel.
We were home in time to watch the sun kiss the sky pink. Another day full of wonder and adventure.
