Day of Love

This Saturday we woke up to the sun shining and happy people all over our little town. Valentines Day, Parade, Citrus Fair, and loved ones all at once?! It was a day to be celebrated.
We woke up, baked brownies, popped champagne, and shared valentines over breakfast.
My little family has no idea how full they make my heart.

Grandparents came over and we walked down the street to view the parade.
The theme this year was: Up, Up, and Away!

Balloons of every color danced around. Lena was gifted a gold one from a kind stranger and it made her so happy for a moment..

Until she landed on it.
But she recovered quickly, busy taking in all the sounds and views around her.

After the parade we went home and had a few quiet hours. When Lena woke up from her nap we had friends come over. (With the sweetest gifts and flowers!) Then we all went to the fair together.

We played too many games that we didn't win, were dazzled by sparkling lights and rides, and ate some amazing carnival food. Lena wanted to climb into the citrus displays and we saw the most amazing pastel portraits done by first graders.
It was such a fun day. So warm and welcoming you would never believe this was our winter.
Once the sun set I realized we never gave out any of the Valentine's Day hearts that we made for our friends. With hearts in hand we went back out to the fair parking and placed a little love on the cars of people still out in the night. I hope at least one person was happy to find a heart made just for them. It felt so good to share a little love.
We all went to bed happy with smiles on our faces and sugar on our lips.
I am so blessed to share these moments with the people I love.
